A DOG’S FAVORITE [RE]TREAT

Annie's Ruff House: Your Dog’s Home Away From Home

Annie's Ruff House offers a fun, safe place for dogs when they cannot be at home. Nestled on three acres in the heart of beautiful and historic Norman, Oklahoma, we provide a stress-free, cage-free, and off-leash environment for your furry friends.

Comfortable Boarding & Resting Facilities

Our roomy kennels feature raised beds and solid-sided walls to promote a calm, quiet resting environment overnight. Dogs also get several hours of walking, running, and playing on the grass each day, ensuring they stay happy and active during their stay.

Food Policy &
Pickup Information

We require all clients to bring their dog’s food in pre-portioned individual bags for each meal, ensuring their dogs have enough food without the risk of upset stomachs. Boarding dogs must be picked up before 10:00 AM Monday-Saturday or incur a late checkout fee of $15 per kennel. Sunday pick-ups are from 3:00-6:00 PM.

Annie's Ruff House - Safety and
Vaccination Requirements for Your Dog

Safety Requirements for Your Dog

At Annie's, we prioritize the safety and well-being of every dog who visits. To ensure a safe environment, all dogs must wear a quick-release collar (also known as a "squeeze and release" collar) and be brought on a flat leash. We do not allow buckle collars or retractable leashes, so please remember to remove any prongs or training collars before entering. Unfortunately, our staff cannot remove prong collars for safety reasons.

Vaccination Requirements

To protect your beloved pet and others, we require the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies

  • Bordetella

  • Canine Influenza

  • DHLPP (which includes the "L" for leptospirosis)

Leptospirosis Vaccination:

It’s important to understand that the leptospirosis vaccine, while occasionally overlooked as a core vaccine, is essential. Leptospirosis is a bacteria that can be transmitted to dogs through wildlife urine, notably found in standing water, but has also been increasingly reported in dogs without direct access to such environments. This bacteria can spread to and from humans, with cases on the rise in the U.S. over the last decade.

Given our facilities' proximity to green spaces and the likelihood of standing water after rainfall—which has become more common—it's crucial to have this vaccine, which can be administered separately or included in the core DHPP vaccine. Leptospirosis is a serious disease that primarily affects liver and kidney function and can result in costly treatment, underscoring the importance of this preventative measure.
